That's a hell of lot cheaper than buying a new..anything. From what I'm seeing, for around $600 you can upgrade to a touch screen and have android auto and apply car play functionality. I disagree completely that a touch screen is somehow worse than buttons for the car environment. So there you go, two opinions at least.

I downloaded them and managed to brick my MMI. Got Audi to reset. This time, I have decided to pay for three sd cards, £58. Waiting till it gets a bit warmer

There's another thread about a CarPlay module you can get from china that dont require replacing half the dash and loosing a bunch of oem look and feel like all the other kits from china.. it wont work for providing the onboard MMI w/data connectivity for google maps but it would let you use it on your phone and display it on the built in screen and keep all the rest of the functionality..
